tbh there hasn’t been a great GREAT difference in my body in the past month- I don’t have abs and still have practically zero arm muscles, and have so so so much fat, but I feel better. I feel stronger, healthier, better. So many things have changed between the taking of these two pictures, and so many things have stayed the same. It hasn’t been an easy month, but I’m gonna keep going, getting fitter and stronger. This isn’t about the scale, and it’s not even that much about how I look, but rather, it’s about me. How I feel. And I want to feel stronger, faster, fitter.

I haven’t lost that much weight, but I know I have lost some fat and gained muscle. This was achieved through clean(er) eating, and regular strength + cardio. The key to not losing motivation in working out is accepting that it will not be easy. You will have to push yourself, and it will hurt, you can cry, you can scream. But it’s also okay to fail sometimes. Know your boundaries. You don’t HAVE to do those 500 squats, you are choosing to do them, and if you’re not feeling it, there’s no need to feel guilty for not working out. Also, goal setting. This is so underrated, but it works really well for me. Choose ambitious goals, but know that you can do them, say do 20 more reverse crunches every two days. If you started being able to do 50, you’ll be able to do 350 in a month! And if you couldn’t do any to start off with, that’s no matter- in a month you’ll be able to do a whole 300 in a month- THREE HUNDRED.

This is not a before-and-after photoset, it is a before and during. I have a long long way to go, so I will keep going, getting better, getting stronger.
